Welcome Family and Friends! We are blessed to have you as part of our intimate wedding ceremony. Thank you for your support.
We met at a bowling alley in Columbia, SC the summer of 2017. We were both 19 at the time, Crystal had returned to Columbia for summer break after her freshman year of college at Charleston Southern University. Chase came in to visit one of his friends who was also working at the bowling alley at the time. I was working at the snack bar as a cashier, while Chase's friend was working at the snack bar as the line cook. As soon as Chase came in, I instantly thought he was very attractive. He came in and talked to his friend and little did I know he was telling his friend how he thought I also was very attractive. Then Chase came over talked and flirted with me. I knew that he was going to ask for my number and I had made up in my mind that I was going to give it to him. We spent the rest of the summer trying to get to know each other. We soon realized we had very distinct differences so a relationship at that time was not possible. When summer was over I moved back to Charleston and Chase later joined the Army. We tried a long distance relationship a couple of times but in the end we both realized we needed to grow and develop ourselves before we could attempt to have a serious relationship. Chase will tell you that from the moment we met in 2017, he knew I was the one. I would tell you that I knew he was not the one. We reconnected Fall of 2019. He messaged me on Instagram basically telling me he still loved me, and I thought that was crazy because we hadn't talked in about 2 years. Then we started talking by phone, to reconnect. During this period, I realized that I had deep feelings for him also. We took our time to grow our relationship. We were patient with each other, and we wanted to incorporate God into our relationship. During the summer of 2020 through the pandemic, we made it official that we were going to be together by any means necessary. We were ready to put in the work for a meaningful relationship and with God in the center, we knew we could not fail.
We’re Engaged! So, about that… "This was the joining of two families." Just our parents and a few friends. Chase wanted our engagement to be a very intimate and personal event. He planned a surprise engagement dinner at our favorite restaurant “The Red Pepper in Summerville, SC”.
