Our story began as two busy-bodies living in Troy, Alabama. Crystal was working for a dental office and applying to follow her dreams to dental school, and Caleb was working as an athletic trainer for Troy University while pursuing a career in medicine. Their paths crossed through the dating app Hinge - where true love was meant to be found. After a brief conversation, their messages were "lost" in time... until just a few weeks later, when Crystal recognized a handsome face sitting across the room at Sips on the Square (our favorite pizzeria in Troy). Crystal worked to muster up the courage to go speak to Caleb, but at that moment she noticed that he had left the restaurant. Knowing she had him on Snapchat, Crystal quickly sent a message making sure to give him her phone number . When Caleb texted her, she saw all of the "lost" conversation - and the rest is history!

In December of 2019, Crystal and Caleb traveled from Birmingham to Caleb's hometown of Wasco in Illinois. Already knowing they would have a restful holiday, Caleb had a surprise in store for Crystal that weekend. On December 14th, the couple spent the day shopping and looking at Christmas decorations on historic 3rd Street in downtown Geneva. After a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride, Caleb brought Crystal to the town square and went down to one knee. Once the couple celebrated, Caleb's family came out to celebrate with them. The final surprise for Crystal came when her best friends, Christen and Zack, came out to celebrate as well.
