You guessed it—because let’s be real, who even meets “organically” anymore? Like any modern romance worth its salt, ours started on Tinder. Yep, that little fire icon sparked more than just a match. Brendan thought he was being slick with his opening line, and somehow, Crystal didn’t swipe away. We’ll never know if it was fate, curiosity, or just a moment of questionable judgment—but it worked. We messaged back and forth for about a month, mainly because Brendan took that long to build up the courage to ask her out. When he finally did, he decided to go big—or go home—and scheduled the first date for Crystal’s birthday. Bold move. He picked Chop Steakhouse, which sounds fancy until you learn the real highlight: Brendan showing up in his work truck, acting like it was a limo. Trying to impress, he parked (poorly), walked Crystal into the restaurant, and they ordered drinks. Just as the conversation got going, Brendan suddenly got that "I forgot to feed the dog" look on his face. Turns out, he was so nervous, he put the wrong license plate into the parking meter. Classic first-date anxiety. He left Crystal at the table for 10 full minutes while he re-parked and sorted it out. When he returned, flustered and slightly sweaty, Crystal did what any future wife would do—she roasted him. Relentlessly. Brendan, naturally, loved every second of it.
