How we Met

First comes friendship, then come Marriage

We first crossed paths in 1994, just kids navigating the world one playground at a time. It wasn’t a grand moment—actually, it was a football to the back of my head that started it all. But somehow, that simple accident sparked something unexpected. What began as innocent childhood days slowly grew into months filled with laughter, mischief, and secrets only best friends share. Those months turned into years, and before we knew it, our bond had deepened into a genuine, unbreakable friendship. That friendship, in time, blossomed into young love. But life, as it often does, took us down different paths. After middle school, we drifted apart and lost contact—seventeen long years passed like pages turning in separate books. Then, one ordinary day, out of nowhere, Aaron walked back into my life. It was as if time folded in on itself. The years melted away, and in that moment, everything just felt right again. A new chapter began—one filled with rediscovery, laughter, and love that had quietly endured. On April 15, 2015, life came full circle. That was the day we picked up where fate had paused us. Aaron and I became partners in crime once more, and this time, we were ready to write the story that was always meant to be ours.

The Proposal

It's all about the Chicken Strip

It was April 22, 2020—a time when the world had slowed down, wrapped in the quiet stillness of the COVID lockdown. But that evening felt different. There was something warm and peaceful in the air. The scent of barbecue chicken strips filled our cozy kitchen, and music played softly in the background. We were just enjoying each other’s company, doing what we always did best—laughing, cooking, and being together. I stood at the stove, flipping chicken like it was any other night, completely unaware that this would be one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. Then Aaron walked in. There was something in his eyes, something playful but serious—so very him. Without any big speech or rehearsed lines, he casually held out a ring, looked at me with that quirky smile of his, and said,“So, like... will you marry me?” I froze—mid-bite, mouth full of chicken—and looked at him, wide-eyed and surprised. And just like that, with no hesitation, I laughed, swallowed, and said the most perfect answer I could give:“Yeah, let’s do it!” There was no fancy dinner, no grand stage—just us, in the middle of a pandemic, in our kitchen, over BBQ chicken strips. And it couldn’t have been more us—simple, honest, and full of love. That night, amidst the chaos of the outside world, we found our own little piece of forever.
