Sometimes love finds you when you least expect it. For us, it all began with a simple message online that turned into endless conversations filled with laughter, comfort, and an instant connection that felt undeniable from the very beginning. From that very first conversation, it felt like we had known each other forever. Each laugh, each story, each moment only revealed more of the love we had been waiting for. Today, we’re so thankful for the love that brought us here, and we can’t wait to begin our forever together.

Matthew turned a sweet day together at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco into the most unforgettable moment of his and Crystal’s life, and Crystal truly had no idea what was coming. Matthew led Crystal into the Rainforest Butterfly Exhibit — a place that holds deep meaning for the both of them, as butterflies are Crystal’s chosen symbol of the growth and transformation she has undergone, one that Matthew has been a constant presence for, as well as the beauty that comes after all of that change. As butterflies floated gently around them, Matthew got down on one knee and asked Crystal to spend forever with him. It felt like magic. And in that moment, surrounded by butterflies and all they represent, Crystal and Matthew realized how their story had come full circle so perfectly. It was the most thoughtful, intimate, and heartfelt proposal and so perfectly them.
