Tori and Matt met at The Battery in Atlanta Labor Day Weekend of 2019. They stayed connected and 6 months later, Tori replied to one of Matt's stories on Instagram (a modern day romance)! From there, they messaged back and forth and at the peak of the pandemic, Tori and Matt would meet up socially distant at Piedmont Park, with a case of Truly's and get to know each other. From there, Matt asked Tori to quarantine with him to see where things could go! Tori packed up a suitcase and a 2 week quarantine turned into 6 months. They bought their first home in August of 2020, adopted their puppy Leo, and got engaged that following May!

On the Cuccurullo Family Vacation, Matt and Tori met Joe, Carlyn and Simone in Mexico! Little did Tori know, Matt was socking away an engagement ring in an Advil bottle in his toiletry bag. Once Tori and Matt arrived in Mexico, Matt asked Joe to hit the lunch buffet with him. After an exchanging of words, tears shed, Matt had asked Joe to propose to Tori. Joe's follow up question was, "Well, when are you going to do it?" and Matt replied, "Well, I was going to do it this week" but of course, it couldn't go down without Carlyn putting her touch on it! In record time, Carlyn managed to secure a dinner on the beach, a photographer, a ring box and share Mother's Day for the special occasion. To pull it all off, Simone, Joe and Matt all convinced Tori that the beachside dinner and photographer was for Carlyn for Mother's Day. The photographer took photos of the couples and as it was Tori and Matt's turn for their photos, Tori looked into the ocean and turned around to Matt on one knee. When Tori could finally muster up the words, the first phrase that came to mind was "Holy shit, yes!" And the rest is history
