What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire please. The couple requests guests consider incorporating their favorite fall/gemstone color - e.g. a sapphire blue, emerald green, ruby red etc

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

While Mass will begin at 1:30, you are most welcome to arrive up to 20 minutes prior to settle into your seat, review the program and enjoy the prelude music.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Mass will be celebrated indoors at St. Thomas More Church. Cocktail hour will occur outdoors, weather permitting, at the Museum at Prairiefire's terrace area. The reception will move to the Exhibition Hall of the Museum for dinner and dancing.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

While we can't know exactly what to expect, Kansas City has beautiful fall weather with highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's. Please check local conditions day of and dress accordingly.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

For guests who will be driving themselves, parking at the Church and at the Museum is plentiful. The Prairiefire area has a multi-level garage within walking distance.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

The couple will need to provide the caterer a count by October 1, please RSVP online or by mail prior to this date.

Question

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

Passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course plated dinner with table-side wine service and dessert. The hosted bar will include additional options for mixed cocktails, beer, soda, etc.

I have dietary restrictions/allergies, what's the best way to let you know?

Answer

Kindly let the couple know if you are gluten-free or have other dietary restrictions by noting such on the back of your RSVP card.

Are children welcome?

Answer

The couple is looking forward to enjoying their nuptials with you and would like you to enjoy the evening - for some, this may mean a night kids-free while for others seeing the little ones dance and laugh enhances the evening's joy.
