Love that Heals

There had to be Capoeira. That was Ellenie's one non-negotiable for moving to a new city after graduating college. It was her first time fully relocating to a new state - and a move that was supposed to be for 10 months some how turned permanent. After days of looking for a place to live, she decided to visit her furture Capoeira school to check out the Ase (energy). Surprisingly there was no class but a Capoeria roda (circle where the game is played). In the middle of the roda Ellenie went to check on her mom who was sitting on the side lines watching, she looked back to the roda and noticed a white circle of light around the man with locs. She turned back to her mom and said "hey mom, doesn't that guy over there look interesting? " To which her mom replied -"Yea, he looks like the type you marry and have kids with." Ellenie replied with a shrug "I guess, thats probably his wife next to him or something," and then made her way back to the roda.

After Ellenie settled into New Orleans, she went to her first roda since the move. After a great roda, Tibeau invited every one to Maison to listen to his friends play live reggae music. Ellenie exclaimed, "I love reggae! I'm coming - we are about to be best friends." The night turned into an accidental date - and the next day Tibeau and Ellenie hung out again and then every day after for an entire month!

After a month of Tibeau coming by to binge watch Breaking Bad - he decided he needed to actually take Ellenie out to a movie. A few days later he offered her a "job" in which her only roll was to go with him places and be happy. She took a moment to decide and said - "Yes, I can't think of a reason to say no, lol."

Yes, they have been engaged that long! Tibeau popped the question just before they were going to take their first trip together to Brazil! The Engagement was perfect and private with lots of joyous, ugly crying from Ellenie and laughter from Tibeau.

Tibeau and Ellenie took a long engagement to continue to strengthen their relationship and fortify their bond. Now they are intentionally planning a ceremony and celebration to honor the love and divinity that has both brought them together, and keeps them together. They cannot wait to celebrate with you!
