Katie and Bria met in their freshman year of college at JMU and have seen each other through it all. They first connected when they both realized they were a part of the English Secondary Education program at JMU, but that was just the start of their friendship. From workouts to chicken nugget dinners to jumping into the Wilson fountain together, their friendship grew more to a sisterhood. As coined by Bria, they are “different, but same same” and has been their motto since. They have stood by each other through relationships, career changes, and all that life has thrown at them. Katie acknowledges that Bria is the best friend and sister she could ever ask for and is thankful for the bond they have.
