We open on a late summer evening in 2017. In a small bar off of Ponce De Leon Avenue, Tre’ is out celebrating the end of a grueling exam week with her med school friends. Vay is carousing (in the best way) with his brother, Terk. The brothers are taking it easy knowing they would be attending the baptism of the newest member of the family, Terk’s son, in the morning. The night seemed like any another for Tre’ and Vay. The pair separately enjoying their night at El Bar were fated to meet. Vay spotted Tre’ salsa dancing in the middle of the bar with someone else, and let's just say, it didn’t take Vay long to make his move. His opening line? "I don't know what you're doing, but you look good doing it". With a charming grin and a flash of gentlemanly charm, he offered to buy her a drink. "I'll take a Tequila cranberry", Tre' replied, flashing an answering smile of her own. What followed was an unforgettable night of laughter, dancing, and conversation. Their first official date happened a month later, and from that moment on, they have been inseparable. The rest, as they say, is history.
