We're Getting Married!

After their first meeting at Hugo’s but before their very first date Jordan knew something was there. When Melissa’s best friend was near Jordan and on the phone with her, Melissa would hear “Don’t let me love you Mel-Hoov” being shouted across the room in the background. This went on for a few weeks until Jordan finally got the courage to get Melissa’s number from her best friend and text her. To Melissa’s surprise she received a text from an unknown number which read “Don’t let me love you Mel-Hoov.” She laughed knowing immediately the text came from that attractive silly man she had only met once. After responding she heard nothing. Jordan, embarrassed by his actions deleted the text and her number immediately. This only lasted a couple days before they began texting again. A couple weeks flirtatiously texting, they went on their first date in Cincinnati OH to race Go Carts (Jordan's favorite past time), and eat at The Eagle (Melissa’s favorite restaurant in the OTR). Nerves almost got the best of Melissa, nearly causing her to cancel their date. However she took a chance and off they went. Their first date couldn’t have gone more perfect. Melissa beat Jordan at Go Carts (on paper), they both uncovered their love for Corgi puppies, their overwhelming need to see the world (Melissa by cultural curiosity, and Jordan through the love of baseball), all while discovering they share the same appreciation for a good Arcade bar. The date went so well, Jordan took the long way home to savor every moment. After their first date Melissa knew immediately she would marry that man. Their love grew stronger, their laughs became endless, and the next thing you know these two were inseparable. The rest is history & baseball, because Melissa said YES on 12.25.2019 to let him love her forever.
