mount bonnell
One of our most memorable Valentines Days. Mount Bonnell is a great landmark and one of the most visited sites in Austin. The limestone height stands at 775 ft above sea level and is considered to be the highest point within Austin City Limits. It has been a popular sightseeing destination since the mid-19th century and continues to attract tourists, locals and hikers of varying ability.
barton springs
One of our favorite places, year round. Barton Springs Pool is a recreational outdoor swimming pool that is filled entirely with water from nearby natural springs. It is located on the grounds of Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. The pool exists within the channel of Barton Creek and utilizes water from Main Barton Spring, the fourth largest spring in Texas
greenbelt
A wonderful trail through the city. The Barton Creek Greenbelt, which travels through South Austin, is the go-to destination for outdoor enthusiasts and athletes in the city. You can enjoy hiking, biking, rock-climbing, bouldering, swimming and even lazily passing a day perched in a hammock or sunbathing on a boulder along Barton Creek. Enjoy 12 miles of trails via several access points throughout Austin. For visitors new to the area, this quick guide outlines the various access points from east to west, along with trail descriptions at each point.
lady bird lake + hike and bike trail
We LOVE going here on the weekends, for a good leisurely stroll with Mason + Zuzu. Right in the middle of the city a 3-6-9 mile trail loop - you can rent cool vintage boats, take a bat tour, kayak, stand up paddle board. Always a good way to spend the day.
austin FC game
Our city's first professional sports team. The stadium is North of the city center - games are SUPER fun + the season will be in full swing when y'all are here! Austin FC is an American professional soccer club based in Austin, Texas. The club competes in Major League Soccer as a member of the Western Conference. Founded in 2018, the club began play in the 2021 season. Their home stadium is Q2 Stadium in north-central Austin
