If you're reading this, you're either a friend of ours or you've somehow stumbled onto our wedding website . . . maybe you just read these kinds of things for fun. Either way, all are welcome! Let's give you a brief breakdown.
Aaron and I met while working at Ye Olde Alpha in late 2018. We love doing outdoors things, like camping and kayaking and riding bikes. We also love doing indoor things, like listening to music and doing whatever artsy hobby we're into at the time. We also love eating, drinking, and watching reruns of Survivor. Mostly, though, we love each other.
From the start, we were very conflicted: have a small, intimate wedding that feels true to us as a couple--no fuss, no drama, lots of personal details--or have a huge rager where we get to see our friends and family from all over. Like that little girl in the taco commercials said, we said, "Why not both?" Our ceremony will be held at Seneca Rocks on June 17, 2023, with just our closest friends and family--almost like a West Virginia version of a destination wedding. We're having the reception at the campground where we spent our first camping trip together: Yokum's Vacationland. It seemed only natural that we come back to this place for our ceremony (as well as drag our friends somewhat unwillingly on a camping trip...it very much fits the bill for us). We recommend packing your tent and camping directly at Yokum's, that way you can party with us and then simply walk to your spot at the end of the night. For those of you that are camping averse, there are cabins and hotels nearby. Then, a few weeks later on July 7, we'll have a great big party celebrating our marriage, back home in Wheeling! We want this reception to feel just like that--a great big party where we can celebrate with ALL of our friends and catch up. We'll have tacos and an open bar and a pretty funky Spotify playlist. If you have any questions, please let us know. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
