We first met in 2020, days before the COVID-19 pandemic blew out of proportion. Lucas and I planned our first date to Longhorn Steakhouse. We were not able to go due to the mass crowd and pandemic restrictions. We chose to go to the local Mexican Restaurant, "El Charolais" which soon became "our place." Days later the Tri-Cities shut-down for the pandemic. We spent many long nights playing games and staying up talking to one another on the phone. We spent days where our dates were outside running from the geese in Elizabethton when we ordered BBQ and made the mistake of feeding them fries. Throughout the 2 year pandemic, we would still go out and eat or order take out.

Lucas and I shopped around for different engagement rings that would suit our style and preference for Rose Gold. He had found the "one" at Moissanite Co. Weeks went by after receiving the ring via UPS. I had ordered a Yellow Gold Tungsten Ring for Lucas as an engagement band just in case we do not get in a "hurry" on the wedding. I had ordered a special Pokémon proposal box to give him his ring in. One day, Lucas was not having a great day. I managed to slip this ring box in his pocket. This ring box stayed there un-noticed for almost an hour before he noticed it had fallen out of his pocket. The next day, Lucas and I went to Longhorn Steakhouse, where we originally had planned our first date 2 years prior. We sat in a corner table next to the bar where he pulled out this handmade wooden ring-box that had a wooden flower embedded in the center. Lucas handed me the box, and said "Will you be my Stephie wife?" I said yes of course, I had Lucas put the ring on my finger. It was not your typical get on one knee proposal, but it was perfect. The rose gold ring looked fantastic on my finger. Here we are getting married in 2022. #Crowewedding2022
