Crow is a writer and co-founder of Alchemy Collective Cafe. He worked his way through many years of community college and was studying psychology, philosophy, and literature at UC Berkeley when he met Tia in Oakland, CA.

Tia is a nonprofit lawyer, sues perpetrators of domestic violence in civil court, and loves cuddling with Crow in the morning. She believes in #BlackLivesMatter, the best form of government is participatory budgeting, women's rights are human rights, QTPOC rights are human rights, climate change is real, and prisons are obsolete.

Meet Talia, Tia's Chess nemesis and Karaoke partner. She supported Tia through Tia's first jury trial (as in, she slept next to Tia and woke her up so she wouldn't be late), helped her decide to propose to Crow, helped her film the Crowposal, and held her hand when Tia got her ears pierced.

Rima

Rima and Tia met at the Ella Baker Center and quickly became work-wives. They got tear gassed at Occupy Oakland and Rima taught Tia how to jump fences to scope out houses for adverse possession. Rima also gave Tia the courage to start the Alipato Project, introduced her to the Hunger Games, and translucent face powder.

Patilin

Patilin AKA Patricia and Tia met when they moved in to the same apartment together as grad students. Patilin was with Tia when she met Crow, drove her to Portland when she moved there to break up with Crow, gave a speech at Tia's law school graduation party, and looked up the California Bar Exam results for her when she was too scared to look them up on her own.

Meet Ellen, Tia's college dancing partner. They met in a college club called the "Progressive Alliance," which was actually just a front for a Leninist cadre and so they left that group to be anarchists with their friends Joaquin and Gaily. Now, they're in the Community Democracy Project together, working to create a people's budget in Oakland.

Fatima

Meet Fatima, Tia's sister from another mother. They met in high school and spend most Christmases with each others' families. They listened to hella Usher and Vertical Horizon together and when their friend accused Fatima of stealing, Tia found out she was the kind of girl that would throw down for a sister. Fatima is Tia's ride-or-die.

Micaela

​Meet Micaela, Tia's closest friend from middle school. She was Tia's neighbor and they spent many a summer days sitting on sidewalks talking about boys. They watched Romeo Must Die together with Micaela's mom, and that soundtrack changed Tia's life. Every time Alipato Project has an online fundraiser, Micaela donates some of her hard-earned money to stand with resisters of domestic violence and to help Tia out.

Crow and Tia met Jesse at their favorite sushi restaurant in Berkeley. Jesse was on his best behavior because Rima (Tia's bridesmaid) was introducing him as her new boyfriend. Soon enough, Jesse and Rima became Crow and Tia's favorite couple. They went to rallies together, lots of double dates, and watched some of the best movies including Get Out, Hunger Games, Rogue One, and Straight Outta Compton.

Payam

Crow and Payam met when they worked at Nomad Cafe together. On a drive down to LA from Oakland, they decided to start a business together. A few months later, they opened up Alchemy Collective Cafe! Payam helped Crow and Tia make the coloring book that is helping fund this wedding and also made Crow's wedding suit!

Crow met Jake, Tia's brother, when Jake was only eight years old. Crow has enjoyed watching Jake grow up to be an awesome young man who shares Crow's interests, like social justice and Childish Gambino.

Erik

Groomsman

Crow and Erik met in a San Luis Obispo restaurant kitchen where they were both dishwashers. They moved to Chico, San Francisco, and Oakland together as they both tried to find themselves in a busy world. Crow helped Erik film Backyard FX, the youtube vlog that launched Erik's film career. Crow and Erik went to Mexico together and on a one-week-long roadtrip across the country.

Big Fat Dave

Crow met Big Fat Dave (BFD), his brother, when BFD was born. They grew up in Grass Valley shooting each other with paintballs and playing games they created. As grown ups, they both love a good whiskey and a good steak.

Ricardo Moran

Ricardo was Tia's roommate in law school. He was also Crow's co-worker at Nomad Cafe. He's the reason Tia and Crow met.
