The dress code for our wedding is cocktail or semi-formal. Think suits, dresses, and fancy jumpsuits, not jeans or shorts. You'll need to walk on grass as the ceremony is in a field, so if you wear heels, consider block heels or a wedge so you don't sink.
Both the ceremony and reception are at Montfair Resort Farm, in Crozet, Virginia. We plan to have the ceremony in the mountain-view field then walk over to the event lodge for the reception.
We wish we knew for certain! But the average temperature is 65 degrees around that time of year. If it is unseasonally cold or it rains, we will move the outdoor ceremony to the lodge. But we would recommend packing an umbrella and wearing layers, just in case.
Absolutely! As we are asking that all our guests be fully vaccinated, this applies to vaccine-eligible children as well.
Yes! There will be an open bar, serving beer, wine, hard cider, cocktails, and soft drinks, along with appetizers. We will then be serving salad and wood-fired pizza for dinner.
The ceremony begins at 4 pm, but we recommend that you arrive by 3:45 pm to ensure you have time to find a seat.
