The Lakes Of Manitowish Waters
Manitowish Waters is known for its chain of 10 lakes that encompass more than 4,200 acres of Wisconsin’s Northwoods. The crystal-clear waters offer an abundance of recreation options, from canoeing and kayaking to fishing and boating. Little Bohemia Lodge
Site of John Dillinger and the Dillinger Gang's shootout with the F.B.I., the Lodge is also the modern day filming location for the Universal Studios film starring Johnny Depp as John Dillinger, PUBLIC ENEMIES. The lodge at Little Bohemia still has windows and walls with bullet holes in them from the gun battle that unfolded 80 years ago. Stop in for great food and drinks. Greer's Pier Marina Inc.
Greer's Pier is a family owned and operated full service marina located on the legendary Manitowish Waters Chain of Lakes. The marina services include new and used boat and motor sales, boat rentals, service, storage, bait & tackle, water sports gear, lake apparel, on-water marine fuel, boat launch, convenience store, and an oasis of the Manitowish Waters Chain of Lakes. Daily lunch service in the summer at our dockside restaurants. The Lower Unit Bar & Grill is an on-water, open-air restaurant featuring cantina inspired cocktails and grill classics done right. Boulder Junction
Check out one of our all time favorite towns in northern Wisconsin! Did you know that Boulder Junction is the Musky Capital of the World? With nearly 200 lakes within a 10-mile radius, this modest, Northwoods town is known to be one the best places on earth to catch these massive fish. And with more than 50 Class A musky lakes, your odds of bringing home a keeper are pretty good. Boulder Junction is also home to the most albino deer in Wisconsin. Check out some of the near by trails to explore and your chances of seeing one is pretty good! We have seen one almost every visit to Boulder Junction, even once in the winter on the snowmobile trail.
Gooch's A-1 Bar & Grill
The Bride spent a lot of time in Boulder Junction growing up and continues to spend time here during the winter months snowmobiling with Ryan. Gooch's bar was a favorite bar as well as a landmark of Boulder Junction. Unfortunately in the summer of 2019 Gooch's bar was destroyed by a fire started by extremely careless actions from a teenager visiting his grandparents for the weekend. Gooch's A-One Bar & Grill was a popular stop for anglers and snowmobilers, and its collection of over 300 wildlife mounts added to the ambiance of the Boulder Junction business. The mounts were all destroyed in the fire. Good news, Gooch's has been rebuilt! The mounts may all be gone but the food, drinks and friendly atmosphere still remains. Stop in and support Gooch and Laurel. We will be eating some of our favorite pizza in the north woods here Thursday night.
