On one of Nathan's visits down to Texas, he had a little photo session planned for us as a late birthday present. I loved this idea considering we didn't really have many pictures together. That afternoon Nathan took me to a store called Francessca's because he said he wanted to get me something new to wear for the pictures later. Of course I was more than happy to go shopping. We left with a pink top and a pair of cute heels, which Nathan picked out. Later that day we met the photographer in downtown Corpus Christi right by the water. We jumped right into the shoot and got some great shots of Nathan, Callie and Myself. A little more than halfway though the session the photographer took me aside and started taking picture of just me. A couple minutes later Nathan and Callie came back and Nathan drew attention to Callie's new collar. I looked closer and once I read what her tag said, I looked up and Nathan was down on one knee with a ring box in his hand. I quickly said yes and I still feel so lucky to have him by my side.
I wanted to surprise Elizabeth with a couples photography session for her birthday while I was visiting her in Texas in June of 2018. Little did she know I had been planning this photoshoot with the photographer for months and it was actually a surprise proposal. The day of the proposal I remember being the most nervous that I've ever been but I had to play it off so she didn't expect anything. The first part of the photoshoot went really well minus a few hiccups with the humidity fogging up the camera lenses, and when It came time I signaled to the photographer so she could distract Elizabeth while I put a new dog collar on our dog Callie with a tag that read, "Will you marry my Dad?". All set up, Elizabeth came back over for more pictures and I told her to check out the new collar that I put on Callie, she read the tag and I got down on one knee to ask the question. It was a day that I'll never forget and every day I'm blessed that she said yes.
