The zoo is open from 9 AM–4 PM and offers educational programs for all ages. The zoo has more than 350 animals representing over 100 species, including many endangered or threatened animals. The zoo has a park-like setting with gardens, a splash pad, boardwalks, and a zip line course. The zoo also offers daily barnyard animal and giraffe feedings, weekend rhino encounters, and daily flight time reservations for a zipline adventure with Seminole Aerial Adventures.
The Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive is an 11-mile drive through the wetlands of Lake Apopka's north shore in Florida. The drive is a scenic route with pulloffs and trails, and is a popular destination for recreation and birding. The Lake Apopka North Shore is one of Florida's top three birding areas, with 377 different bird species recorded on the property. You can also see a variety of other Florida Wildlife, including alligators!
The "Barbara-Lee" is an authentic paddle-wheeler, hosting lunch, dinner and specialty cruises. She travels across Lake Monroe and up the beautiful St. Johns River. Live entertainment, full table service and an entree selected from a menu are part of every cruise. All meals are prepared fresh in the galley. Included are appetizers, salad, dessert, and your choice of coffee, tea and iced tea. A full cash bar is also provided onboard.
