Question

What do I wear?

Answer

Wedding Ceremony and Reception attire is Formal; this means suits and ties for men. For women- floor length, tea length, midi or knee length dresses, and pant suits are appropriate. Formal doesn't mean black; colors encouraged! Cocktail hour will be held outside on grass while dinner and dancing will be under a tent with a wooden dance floor. Keep this in mind when choosing footwear— ensure they are suitable for grass and dancing!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Hopkinton is 26.2 miles West of Boston. We have a room block at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston - Milford, located at 11 Beaver Street, Milford, MA 01757. This is about 10 minutes from the ceremony and reception location. Transportation will be provided from here to and from the ceremony and reception. To book a room: Please visit the "Travel" section of this website and click "view" to be directed to the room block link and book with a discount.

Question

How do I get to the wedding and reception?

Answer

If you want to drive: There is plenty of parking available at St. John the Evangelist Parish. Cars should remain parked there throughout the wedding reception- which is steps away from St. John's. After the ceremony, guests will walk 500ft down Church St to the reception - which will be held in the yard of 34 Church St. If you are staying at the Double Tree in Milford: Guests may have to check in after the ceremony. We recommend attending the ceremony, then driving back to the hotel for check in. From there transportation will be provided to and from the reception. Details on transportation pick up times are listed under the "Hotel and Transportation" tab

Question

What to do between the Ceremony and Reception?

Answer

There will be a brief break in between the ceremony and cocktail hour. If you are staying at the hotel, this is the time to check in. If you are not staying at the hotel & are looking for an activity to fill that time Hopkinton has many things to offer: By Foot: Downtown Hopkinton is a two minute walk from St. John's. Head Downtown and check out the Boston Marathon starting line, the beautiful Town Common, or grab a drink at a local spot (Bills, Central Public House, Coffee or tea at Muffin House). By Car: Start Line brewing 1.3 miles. Hopkinton State Park 3 miles. Westin Nurseries Garden Center 1.3 miles.

Question

How do I get to the after party?

Answer

At the conclusion of the reception, transportation will be provided to both the after party and the hotel. Buses will continue running between Cornells and the hotel until the conclusion of the after party.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we love your kids, we are only able to accommodate the children in our wedding party at the reception. We hope you can still join us for a fun & relaxing evening!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay within the venue capacity. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation- it will list all names of the people invited, or your name "and guest". Thank you for understanding!

Question

CAN I TAKE AND POST PICTURES OF THE WEDDING ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, as we don't want people holding phones in the background of our wedding photos. We have hired a professional photographer who is fantastic! And we promise to share those professional photos with you. Feel free to capture memories the rest of the night and post on social media!

Question

What about mosquitoes?

Answer

We are doing everything we can to protect our guests and ourselves from mosquitoes and mosquito-bourne illnesses. The property will be sprayed for mosquitoes prior to the wedding and bug spray will be available.
