Mutual Weirdness Forever!

How We Met We "matched" on Hinge (dating app) and decided very quickly that we wanted to meet. On August 6th, 2020, we met at a restaurant and sat outside in the Georgia summer heat, during the COVID pandemic, wearing our face masks and sunglasses. The Proposal - "Shut up!" Because of Covid, it had been 2 years since James had been able to see his family. As soon as NZ opened things up, we booked our flights and planned our trip to the other side of the world. While we were there, we planned a weekend to travel to the South Island and stay in Lake Tekapo, with hopes of catching a view of the southern lights. One of the days that we were there, we went on a short hike to view the Tasman Glacier. After climbing uphill for a bit, we finally reached the top and the view was so worth it. James just had knee surgery a month prior to this, so once we were got to the top he needed to "sit and rest" for a bit. That picture was taken just seconds before James popped the question and Jackie responding with "shut up!"
