Though we met our first year at Whitworth University, our story started senior year when we were housemates at the Jay house. Over multiple game nights and Winco runs we became closer friends, and when Kristen went home for quarantine they realized how much they missed each other.

Kristen was promised a river day. One week after her sister Katie’s wedding, Martin’s family planned a day to go floating down the river. Kristen and Martin loaded up with watermelon, seltzers, and floaties and drove up to his brother Louie’s house. They went into the backyard to find Kristen and Martins family together with beautiful snacks and decorations. For the proposal Kristen’s only request was her family be there and it be a surprise. Martin absolutely nailed it and Kristen never suspected a thing! However, Kristen still wants her river day.
