Question
How do I enter the zoo and where do I park?
Answer
October 4th, 2025, is the first day of Halloween festivities at the Brookfield Zoo. There may be extended entry times, so please plan accordingly. Enter the Brookfield Zoo through the South Entrance: 8601 Rockefeller Ave, Brookfield, IL 60513. You will show the parking pass QR to the parking attendant and mention you are here for Eric & Allison's Wedding. They will instruct you to proceed towards the Discovery Center Parking Lot. Please wait inside or just outside the entrance to the Discovery Center when you arrive.
Question
I am taking an Uber to/from the Zoo. What should I do?
Answer
If you are taking an Uber to the zoo, have the driver enter through the South Gate Entrance (just like normal). You will need to show the tollbooth attendant the QR code and mention you are here for Eric & Allison's wedding. They will instruct the Uber driver to follow the service road towards the Discovery Center for drop off. If you are calling an Uber to leave the zoo at the end of the night, you will set the pick-up at the South Gate Entrance, and the GPS should guide the Uber Driver to your location at the Discovery Center.

Can I leave the wedding and reenter?
Answer
If you leave the zoo premises, you will not be allowed to reenter after 6:00 P.M. Please plan accordingly

Can I explore the zoo before/during/after the wedding?
Answer
No, you will not be allowed to explore the zoo before, during, or after the wedding. If you want to explore the zoo, do it on a different day. Please respect the zoo and staff members.

Will Children or additional guests be allowed to attend?
Answer
No, we are not allowing additional plus-ones to the wedding unless specified on the invitation.

Is there a hotel block?
Answer
We do not have a reserved hotel block; however, many members of the wedding party and some family will be staying at Le Méridien Chicago – Oakbrook Center.

What should I wear?
Answer
Semi-formal wedding attire required, no jeans. Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outdoors, followed by an indoor cocktail hour. The reception will be held in a pavilion featuring floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, which will remain open to create an open-air atmosphere, should conditions allow.

Please RSVP by August 31st, 2025. You will be contacted in mid-August if we have not yet received your RSVP.

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes, beer and cocktails will be provided during the cocktail hour and reception.

Where should I bring/send a wedding gift?
Answer
Please do not bring any wrapped gifts to the wedding. Please ask Eric or Allison for our home address if you would like to send us a gift. A wedding card box will be at the reception.

Am I allowed to take photos at the wedding?
Answer
We will have professional photographers on the day of our wedding. Please do not take any photos during the Ceremony. You are welcome to take photos during the Cocktail Hour or Reception.

How does the Zoo Tram Work?
Answer
The tram will be available to transport guests from the Discovery Center to the Ceremony location at Swan Lake. The tram will be available again after the Cocktail Hour to take guests to the Reception at Swan Pavilion. You must take the tram when going to the ceremony and the reception.
