Some love stories start with a grand gesture. Ours started with a Teams notification. We met at work in FP&A — just two people trying to survive budgeting season, endless spreadsheets, and a calendar full of Teams meetings. The timing could not have been stranger. We met only two weeks before he gave his two weeks’ notice to leave for another company. Just as we started getting to know each other, it felt like the opportunity might disappear before it even really began. Somehow, the shortest overlap at work led to the most important relationship of our lives. Outside of work, we discovered how naturally everything fit — the same sense of humor, the same values, and the same ability to support one another through every busy season life brings. What began in the world of finance grew into a partnership built on friendship, trust, and love.
