Rachel and Crissy met on the high school cross country team. Crissy quit the team while Rachel is now a marathon runner. Different paths, but they meet back up on the same trails for hiking/camping trips every year in Michigan!

As soon as his little brother Sam was old enough to talk, Fred set out to introduce him to all of his nerdy passions, from D&D to Magic: the Gathering. But as Sam grew into an incredibly thoughtful, creative, self-possessed person, he became much more than just a willing opponent for "lightsaber fights" with wiffleball bats. He's an amateur programmer, a scholar of global security issues, a skillful skier and hiker, and yes, still kind of a nerd. More importantly, he's one of the people Fred trusts most in the world, thanks to curious mind, his calm, patient empathy, and his firm belief in doing what's right. There's no one Fred would rather have at his side when it really counts.

Julia and Crissy met on the cross country team the summer before freshman year of highschool. They joined the choir as sopranos and grew into altos together. Fifteen years later, Julia is currently a pharmacist and a mom of two.
Dylan Brackett

Dylan is Fred's cousin, not to mention his first and best friend. From skiing in Vermont, to hiking in New Hampshire, to chucking rocks in the creek in Nonquitt, many of Fred's best childhood memories involve the two of them side by side. Dylan currently lives in Denver with his girlfriend Olivia, where he runs his own business and takes care of two dogs with wildly different energy levels.

Emma and Crissy met in kindergarten and were classmates through senior year of high school. After living abroad herself, Emma got Crissy a job as an au pair in Puglia. Emma, now a world traveler, lives in Italy as she works on her graduate thesis.
Grant Robin

Grant and Fred first ran into each other while they were both doing standup in the tiny, close-knit Burlington comedy scene. Their friendship began as a shared appreciation for dark humor and weird films, and grew even stronger after they both wound up in Chicago. When Fred was accidentally pantsed before a live audience during his first Chicago sketch show, Grant was there to offer moral support (okay, laughter). They've been drinking buddies, writing partners, podcast co-hosts, and roommates - not necessarily in that order. These days, Grant lives in Denver with his girlfriend Emma and their incredibly sweet pit bull Maude.

Jill met Crissy in nursing school. They booked the same study room in the library nearly every day for two years. Jill is currently working on her masters and killing it in every way.
Barkley Kenton

It's not often you genuinely miss your sister's boyfriend when they wind up living in different parts of the country, but Barkley is a special case. He felt like a brother to Fred from the beginning thanks to his easygoing and warm-hearted nature. Now Barkley and Georgia are reunited and living in Lake Tahoe, and Fred couldn't be happier.

Danielle and Cristine met in nursing school and always call each other by their full names. Danielle is currently doing it all as a graduate student and mother of two! Her youngest is the ring bearer.

Fred and Jeff became friends at the University of Vermont, mostly because they were the two people at every party sitting on the porch talking about parallel universes and the nature of consciousness. A few minutes talking with Jeff make his goofy sense of humor and sincere compassion clear. He currently lives in Burlington

Sara and Crissy met in freshman year of high school. They hung out in the theatre department and shared a lunch table for four years. They lived together and produced a podcast! Please keep your H's out of their names.

TJ and Fred go back further than either of them can remember, going back to the days when they'd be running around the yard acting out galaxy-spanning imaginary adventures. Since then, he's been a a trusted friend that Fred could always trust and lean on during tough times. TJ lives in New Bedford MA with his wife Kellee and their adorable, precocious daughter Isla .
