In the fall of 2016, Cristin and Kyle were each assigned to work in Nashville, TN. After a few nights on Broadway singing karaoke and dancing at Crazy Town, things started to take off. That January, Cristin visited Boston for the first time. February 2017, Kyle asked Cristin to be his girlfriend, and they proceeded to date long distance for 2.5 years. Through a mutual love of wine, beer, football, and most of all dancing, it didn't take long to realize this was it for them. Cristin and Kyle are so excited to have the people who have shaped them be a part of this big day.
It was the year 2020, a virus emerged resulting in a global pandemic. All were in lock down, but Cristin and Kyle found a loop hole - State and local parks were still open to the public. Kyle planted the idea of a hike, and Cristin jumped on it, proceeding to plan the entire day in Estes Park, choosing the very hike herself. She excitedly packed mac & cheese and her jet boil to have a lovely picnic at the top of the mountain, and enjoy some time out of the house. Kyle had bigger plans. The initial easy 3 mile loop was closed, and the two pivoted to a much longer, much steeper trail. After hiking through snow in tennis shoes (do not recommend), they reached the top, and Cristin eagerly started setting up the pot for her mac & cheese (the ultimate reward of the hike). Kyle cleverly hung his go-pro on a tree in front of them, and asked Cristin to come take a picture with the mountains behind them. In an instant, Kyle was down on one knee, and asked Cristin to marry him. She said "Yes, of course!" Kyle had snuck along bottle of champagne, and the two shared some time alone up top to take in the moment together. Most importantly, as their first meal as an engaged couple, they picked up McDonald's (Don's) on the way home.
