We recommend a day trip to Ronda, a beautiful village nestled in the mountains that is roughly one hour from Estepona/Marbella (60km). It's famous for the Puente Nuevo bridge that links the 2 sides of the 100m deep El Tajo Canyon. There are also a number of wineries close to Ronda, including Bodega Garcia Hidalgo, Dona Felisa Winery and LA Organic.
Sevilla is one of Cristina's favourite cities in Spain and we HIGHLY recommend visiting for a few days. It is 2.5 hours away from Estepona/Marbella (256km) and you can get there by car or train. It is the capital city of Andalucía and has both Roman and Moor influences, Cristina recommends visiting the Real Alcázar, one of the finest historic palaces in Europe, Plaza de Espana, and the Metropol Parasol rooftop walkway.
The majority of our guests will be flying into Málaga Airport, so why not take a day or two to explore the hometown of Pablo Picasso? Malaga is a 45 minute drive from Marbella (58km), or just over an hour drive (89 km) from Estepona, and is a big port city that offers a beautiful historic centre, beaches and many museums for art lovers. We'd recommend visting the Gibralfaro Castle, the Málaga Cathedral, and the Picasso Museum.
Granada is a cultural gem of Andalucía and comes highly recommended by both Yusef and Cristina :) Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, about an hour and 45 minutes away from Estepona/Marbella by car (178 km). The city has retained it's historic Islamic and Catholic influences and is home to the Alhambra, a medieval citadel and palace that is one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture. We recommend buying tickets to visit it at least a couple of months in advance as they sell out quickly.
