Tony and I first met in high school. We both went to different high schools in the same city, but our band program was combined. I was a sophomore and he was a junior, but we didn't really talk until the following year. By that time, he was getting ready to head off to college. We went to prom together that year, but we didn't speak for about 7 months after that. I got a random text a couple of days after Christmas in 2013 and that's when our story truly began. He was on his first year at Baylor University, 7 hours away. We would FaceTime almost every single night because being apart was unbearable. I was a senior getting ready to graduate and head off to college. We would go several month without seeing each other, but that had been the ultimate test for us. We counted down to every holiday or event that would bring him back home. It truly was tough, but if we could make it through that, then we could make it through anything. I ended up in San Antonio and we started seeing each other more often than usual. A few months later, I ended up transferring back home, to the Rio Grande Valley, to continue my education in a more pleasant environment for me. 4 years passed and we both graduated with our Bachelor's Degree in 2017. Tony ended up moving to the Dallas area to pursue his career and I'm currently in the process of finishing my teaching program to be able to move to the Dallas area as well. We got engaged in February 2020, but with the pandemic, we kinda put all the wedding planning to a halt. Here we are 9 years later after our story first began. We've been through so much and have traveled to many places and I wouldn't choose anybody else to go through life with.
