Cimavilla

The oldest part of Gijon, now a local favorite spot with tons of bars and restaurants! Hop around the “sidrerías” to try the famous Asturian sidra (cider)! Definitely recommend hanging with the locals at the famous “Cuesta del cholo”.

Plaza Mayor

Tons of shops, restaurants and bars around the area! Walk through it towards the marina where you see the Pelayo statue in Plaza del Marques.

Traditional Asturian restaurant right in Plaza Mayor Definitely try the sidra! Other fav asturian dishes: fabada, cachopo and any type of seafood is highly recommended! One of our favorites when I brought Lucas to Gijon for the first time!

Restaurante Ciudadela

Upscale Asturian restaurant. Decor exhibits the history of the Asturian people. Definitely try the fabada (Asturian stew) and lubina (branzino). Reserve a table downstairs in the caves if you can!
