FAQs

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You may RSVP through our Zola website. As the wedding date approaches, our coordinator will follow up to reconfirm your attendance. We kindly ask that you respond at your earliest convenience.

Question

How do I get from the airport to my hotel or Airbnb?

Answer

Getting from the airport to your hotel or Airbnb is straightforward. Airport taxis are readily available upon arrival, and Uber also operates in Oaxaca. Both options are convenient and reliable.

Question

Do I need to rent a car while in Oaxaca?

Answer

Renting a car isn’t necessary. Once you’re settled at your hotel or Airbnb, most places you’ll want to go are easily walkable. For tours or excursions, pickup is usually provided at your hotel or a central meeting location.

Question

Will there be transportation for the wedding events?

Answer

No. The ceremony and reception will be walking distance from each other. Taxis will be available outside the venue to take you back to your hotel or Airbnb after the reception. A member of our wedding planning team will be at the exit to help coordinate. Please note that fare will be at each guest's own expense.

Question

What is a calenda?

Answer

We will be hosting a calenda on Thursday, October 15 at 8:00 PM following the welcome event. We’ll be departing from the Centro Gastronómico. A calenda is a traditional Oaxacan street procession used to celebrate weddings and major events. It typically includes a live brass band, giant puppets (monos de calenda), and dancers, with guests walking and dancing through the streets toward the celebration. The streets are cobblestone, so wearing comfortable shoes are highly recommended.
