Summer had ended, and the Fall 2022 semester had begun. The annual "Get Involved Fair" at our school was going on. Cristina was trying to recruit pro-life students for Students for Life at UTEP, and Bryan was trying to invite Catholic students to the Catholic Campus Ministry at UTEP. A mutual friend introduced them, and that is how their friendship started. After a couple of months of attending events from both student organizations, the Catholic Campus Ministry announced its semester retreat. A friend invited Bryan to serve as part of the choir, and another friend invited Cristina to attend the retreat. At the retreat, Cristina didn't know anyone and felt a little nervous to talk to new people. As soon as she saw Bryan, she felt relieved to see a friend. During the retreat, they connected very well and became closer friends. Once the retreat was over, they continued to get to know one another. Cristina was organizing a baby shower with her Students for Life group and invited Bryan to the party. Bryan accepted the invitation with another invitation... a date to the movies!

El verano había terminado y había comenzado el semestre de otoño del 2022. En nuestra escuela se estaba celebrando la feria anual «Get Involved Fair». Cristina estaba tratando de reclutar estudiantes provida para Students for Life en la UTEP, y Bryan estaba tratando de invitar a los estudiantes católicos al Ministerio Católico del Campus en UTEP. Un amigo en común los presentó, y así comenzó su amistad. Después de un par de meses asistiendo a eventos de ambas organizaciones estudiantiles, el Ministerio Católico del Campus anunció su retiro semestral. Un amigo invitó a Bryan a formar parte del coro y una amiga invitó a Cristina a asistir al retiro. En el retiro, Cristina no conocía a nadie y se sentía un poco nerviosa hablar con gente nueva. En cuanto vio a Bryan, se sintió aliviada al ver a un amigo. Durante el retiro, conectaron muy bien y se hicieron más amigos. Una vez terminado el retiro, continuaron conociéndose mejor. Cristina estaba organizando un baby shower con su grupo Students for Life e invitó a Bryan a la fiesta. Bryan aceptó la invitación con otra invitación... ¡una cita al cine!
