We love our food, drink and dancing down here so New Orleans receptions are typically not seated dinners. Instead, they have passed appetizers and plenty of buffet stations. This gives us more room to socialize and dance the night away. Drinks are flowing the whole night and you can take your drink with you when we secondline!
Wedding Secondlines are common in NOLA as a means to celebrate and parade through the streets with the newly weds! They are led by the newly wed couple and a brass band. Guests are encouraged to participate and people on the street may even join in the fun We will be doing a Secondline at the end of our reception and would love for y'all to join us! We will have handkerchiefs for all guests to help us sashay into our new life together We do highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes since it will be a bit of a walk and the streets and sidewalks are a "tad "uneven in New Orleans.
New Orleans loves to party and drink so we can have open containers in the street! We strongly encourage take advantage of that "last call" to get your drink to go for our Secondline!
By April 1st, 2023. However, if you know you cannot make it or definitely can, RSVP as early as you would like!
To remain within our budget, we are only able to accommodate those that are on your invite
There is parking at the church for the ceremony; however there is no designated parking at the venue for the reception - only street parking if you can find it. We really recommend ride share, carpooling or utilizing the transportation we are providing from the hotel.
Transportation from the hotel to the ceremony and then to the reception will be provided. Please note on your RSVP if you will be needing this so we can plan accordingly. We will be secondlining after the reception back towards the French Quarter. If you do not wish to join us, we highly recommend an Uber or Lyft to get you home safely!
Attire is cocktail or garden party. We highly recommend comfortable shoes and non-floor length dresses as we will be secondling after the reception.
