FAQs

Question

What covid-related precautions are you taking?

Answer

We understand this is a difficult time to travel and socialize. We have taken covid very seriously since the onset, and have many close loved ones who are considered high risk by the CDC. As such, we're committed to keeping our wedding safe. Here's what we're planning to ensure our event remains covid-free: • We have downsized our wedding considerably. We expect no more than 60 people attending our wedding -- most of which will be our dearest family members. Our venue capacity is 400. In other words, we will host our wedding at 15% capacity. • We are asking guests to wear masks when not at their table. This is not only mandated in North Carolina by way of Executive Order, but we agree it will help keep our guests safe. The more we wear masks, the better we can limit the spread.

Question

What covid-related precautions are you taking? (part 2)

Answer

• Speaking of tables, we are seating guests with members of their immediate household and/or other close family and friends. In other words, you will not be seated at a table with folks you do not know and trust. • Our cocktail hour is going to be a little different than what you're probably used to. We will pre-package yummy hor d'ourves and let you enjoy them at your table. • We will have masks available for your use in case you forget one, or just want to add to your collection. Further, we will have hand sanitizer readily available throughout our event.

Question

I'm not sure I'm comfortable traveling or attending a wedding due to covid. What should I do?

Answer

We understand that 100%. If you are uncomfortable, we ask that you please stay home. Please do not worry about offending us; we totally understand this is a wild time and we would never want to pressure anybody to do something they're uncomfortable with. We are committed to celebrating this occasion with you at a later date, when the world has gotten a bit safer for everybody!

Question

Will we need cash for the bar?

Answer

We have got you covered with free flowing beer and wine, and hope you will enjoy!

Question

Will you have non-alcoholic options available?

Answer

Absolutely! It is brunch, after all! We will have coffee, tea, lemonade, iced teas, and Martinelli's for toasts (but also for general consumption if you prefer).

Question

I have a dietary restriction. What should I do?

Answer

We will have a vegan option available. Please contact the Bride or Groom if you would prefer this option so they can make proper arrangements with the caterer.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will be outdoors in the Sutherland's gardens, while the reception will be indoors in the Sutherland's pavilion. However, the pavilion does allow for open ventilation as its walls serve a dual purpose as windows, and we intend to keep them open at all times.

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

Our wedding venue has on-site parking for your use.
