Ayana's Story: I met Cristian at work in 2016, and he was a new hire on our floor. I felt he brought a very smooth and collected energy on our busy unit. I noticed his khaki's, respectable manner, and the way he treated patients with compassion. I used to call him the State Farm guy, haha. I was drawn to his friendliness, humor, and authenticity. I had no idea at the time, but we became best work buddies and shared all our crazy stories, trials, and adventures together. He made coming to work fun! But, after 2 years I left for the hospital and our forever friendship took a pause.... Fate would have it though, 2 years later he resurfaced on Instagram and responded to my post which asked, "How are you-how are you really?", and "What is this chapter in your life called?"... so we picked right back up and the rest is history! I remembered, "Wow-He is so fun, and made me laugh so much... I missed him!" Thanks to God we have been laughing together the last 5 years. Im so excited to call him my best friend forever! Cristian's Story: Ayana and I met at work in 2016 and almost immediately became great friends...she started by asking me to translate voicemails (I still tease her about this), we'd chat about our ideas, goals, adventures, and everything in between. I was actually excited about going to work knowing I'd get to joke and laugh with her. Early 2020, just before the pandemic kicked in! We reconnected through thought-provoking questions and meaningful conversation, which had been natural for us. We picked back up where we left off and in no time, found ourselves long-boarding that whole summer.
