These stories normally start like a fairy tale, but I'm going to tell you the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I was minding my business like I always do and out of the blues I received a notification, someone slid in my DMs. The message read, hi my name is Simon and I would like to get to know you. I read the message and went on with my day. A few hours later I received another message it was from Simon again it said I like your photos, I think you're really beautiful and I would like to get to know you. I replied thank you. The next day I received another notification it said good morning, how are you doing today? I replied I'm doing good so far and I went on with my day. A few hours later my phone kept going off it was Simon again texting me a whole lot of information about himself. He is from Michigan but he is working in Oklahoma for a few weeks, he works on military vehicles, he travels a lot for work, he is a hard worker and he is just looking for a good woman. Like I said a lot of information. At this point I decided to check out his profile. After reading and looking at his photos I'm thinking this is a scammer, probably in a foreign country somewhere trying to get a dollar out of me. At this point I'm thinking let me just go ahead and block him. Look! If you know me, you know I block people for less. I told him I don't date out of state so I don't think it's going to work. He asked why and I replied, there are too many scammers out here and I don't have time for all that. Just as I was about to block my blessings he said to me, I will be home next Friday and I'll like to meet you. Pick a restaurant and a time on Saturday and I will be there. I said let me think about that. Somehow we ended up texting each other back and forth for hours. Hours turned into days and text messages turned in to calls/video calls. Finally one of those days turned into Saturday, February 4th at 2:00 pm and I had plans to meet this man that I was going to block after the 3rd message. On wedding day: Part 2. The day we met in person.
