Royce proposed at the spot we would frequent most when we initially started dating. He would drive up from Olympia to Mount Vernon and we would spend part of our weekend together exploring and taking in the beauty of Padilla Bay. He planned a beachside picnic, as we made our way down the beach I turned my head and saw the breathtaking aisle of white long stem roses lining the way to the magical set up. Before I could take in what was happening I see Royce on his knee! Time truly stopped as I took in his heartfelt words, the next thing I knew he pulls out the most beautiful ring and asks the question every little girl dreams of… Cristal, will you marry me? I must have blacked out because all I remember was feeling so much happiness, excitement , my heart was overflowing with love. My body took over as I I flung into his arms. As we held each other in that moment I had such peace knowing this was going to be my forever. And now we’re here, with a lifetime to go, ready to celebrate life’s greatest treasure; love.
