We are starting the ceremony at 5:45pm on April 21st, 2023. It will take a minute to walk from the parking lot to your seats for the ceremony. It is quite a long path. Please plan on arriving at least 10 to 15 minutes prior to the ceremony starting. Also, please plan accordingly. There will be Charleston Traffic.
Semi-Formal Garden Party!!! Can't wait to see everyone in their best spring time outfits! Think vibrant spring colors, floral printed dresses, and colorful dress shirts for the gentlemen!
Ceremony will be outdoors. Reception will take place outside on a patio, screened in porch that has fans, and an indoor hall! So you will get to pick your comfort.
Charleston's weather is like a Magic 8 Ball. We are expecting it to be warm, but could also be a little on the cooler side at night. We strongly recommend checking the weather channel right before you come, because Charleston is very unpredictable. I would also prepare for some rain if you are travelling from in from out of town. Spring showers are extremely likely!
Ceremony start time will be 5:45pm. Please be early, because if you are late then we will not let you down the walkway. Reception is at the same venue and will immediately follow the ceremony. Reception will immediately follow and it is at the same venue!
Transportation will not be provided. You will need to drive yourself, but we also recommend Uber or Lyft! If you plan on drinking, please drive responsibly. We chose a hotel block that is reasonably close to the venue and that is close to a lot of things that you can do!
Ample parking is available. It is directly outside of the venue; however, the venue is a little tucked back. You have to walk down a pathway that looks like a dock to get to the hall. Our venue is Founders Hall located in Charles Towne Landing. Founders Hall is located in the same parking lot as the visitors center, but it is across the parking lot from the center.
We would recommend that you keep the kids at home for this wedding. We love kids, but we want to make sure that you are having the time of your life! We understand that finding a babysitter in an unknown city may be challenging, and that finding someone to stay with the kids while you travel to Charleston is a whole other set of trouble as well. If you having trouble finding the needed resources, please reach out to Crista! We would like for you to be here with us, and we will do whatever we can to figure it out together.
Beer, Wine, and Seltzers. We plan on sending out a survey, to see which beverage you most prefer. That way we can get a more accurate count, so that we can make the most of our beverages services.
Information is located in the Travel section of this website. Short answer - yes! TownePlace Suites by Marriott Charleston Airport/Convention Center. If you have a large family, or multiple families would like to share an AirBnb we strongly recommend that as well. We would recommend the Park Circle area, Folly Beach, or Downtown. I do not believe there are any AirBnbs in the West Ashley area.
This is one of Crista's biggest pet peeves! Please leave your phones in your pockets and purses during the ceremony. We want you to be living in the moment, and capturing the moment through your own eyes. We have a photographer capturing the ceremony. Thank you for your understanding!
There is lots to do in Charleston. You can experience the natural beauty, the Civil War history, explore historical homes downtown and throughout the Charleston area, immense yourself in the Charleston cuisine. You can also shop, do local activities, physical outdoor activities, the beach. Brennan would tell you to golf. Crista would tell you get out and enjoy the natural beauty and historical sites. Together they would tell you... eat! Crista and Brennan have made a list of some of their favorite things to do in Charleston. If none of this is of interest to you, then I strongly recommend googling "Charleston Things To Do". I promise you, that there is something for you to do and you will love it!

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience. If you choose to mail it, then the registries are set up to send directly to Crista's home.
