Yes, the ceremony, depending on the weather, will be taking place just outside the hotel's main lobby in the courtyard. The cocktail hour will take place near the main lobby area, and the reception room will be a few short yards away from that part of the day. This will be quite convenient for guests.
Please dress nicely for the wedding, as you would most weddings. No jeans, shorts, or t-shirts. Ladies may wear typical cocktail dress attire. Also, please avoid wearing a white/near-white dress/outfit, such as pale blush, pale green, pale yellow, cream, etc. Your dress or outfit of course can have bits of white in it, but please avoid wearing a full solid white/near white outfit. I was also asked about our color scheme (one guest indicated she did not want to try to match the bridesmaids) - it's dusty rose and cream. There's no rule you can't wear pink! :). Thank you!
Please RSVP by June 20th the latest (the earlier the better of course), so that we can submit the final numbers and food choices to the venue. When you RSVP, you choose the main meal you'd like, as the food service will be plated. It is important to respond by the deadline to give the venue the time they require to be ready. If we do not receive your RSVP by the date noted, we will gracefully assume you will celebrate in spirit from afar.
We do have a room block at the venue, the Ethan Allen Inn. Just reserve your room the night before the wedding and/or the night of the wedding under Ron’s and Crissa’s Wedding. The hotel room block is reserved through June 19, 2026. After that date, regular room fees from the hotel apply if rooms are available. In the event the block is taken up, there might still be rooms available at the hotel at their regular rate. There are also other hotels nearby on Lake Avenue/Mill Plain Road in Danbury.
To ensure we can create he perfect celebration with our loved ones, we've carefully curated our guest list. Only guests specifically named on your invitation are invited. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to sharing our special evening with those closest to us.
Please be mindful we would like you to be as present during the ceremony as possible. While we are not forbidding you to take photos or videos during the ceremony, we would like you to be aware that the hired photographer needs a clear view to take photos, so please refrain from sticking your phone into the aisle leading to the ceremony location. Please be aware of your surroundings, so your phone does not obstruct the view of fellow guests. Keep phones silenced during the ceremony please. Also, you will be able to upload your photos and videos to the same QR site as the site being used to find your seat!
YES! Aside from great food and open-bar drinks, we will have a photo booth that you will be able to enjoy! We will refrain from doing a bouquet toss and garter removal. The DJ will play music we can all dance to! Please make sure to share your first dance song (optional) from your wedding if you are of course married! We'd like to let you relive your special moment on the dance floor!
