Avec is the French restaurant at the resort, and it was by far our favorite out of the 5! We highly recommend this order exactly: French Onion Soup, Beef Wellington, and finish with Creme Brûlée! As with all the restaurants, this one had exceptional waitstaff, great drinks, and an overall great vibe. This one books up FAST, so make sure to book this one out 30 days before to secure an early reservation...we ate at 9pm!
Our favorite spot to grab a quick lunch was the food offered by the pools! They have everything from pizza to burgers to yummy tacos! We were big fans of the shrimp tacos, quesadillas, and pepperoni pizza!
The breakfast buffet had it ALL. Omelettes, waffles, pancakes, bagels, pastries, cereal, fruit... anything you can think of for breakfast! Morgan was a big fan of the pancakes and waffles. Taylor's personal favorite was the double chocolate muffin or pancakes with Nutella (are we sensing a theme?). This restaurant also offers a buffet for lunch and at night turns into the steakhouse, where we had some great meals!
If you're trying to have a TIME, the social pool is where it's at! There is a DJ playing bangers almost every day, there is a swim-up bar, and the resort provides inflatable games which make it much more fun with a group! There was volleyball, beer pong, and more! Plus, the pools in general never felt crowded. We were able to get chairs at any time of the day and were seamlessly able to switch up vibes and go to the other pools.
When in Mexico... tequila is required. Every margarita we had was a 10/10 no notes. (When you get to the resort, the welcome cocktail is a spicy marg!)
This was singlehandedly the BEST dessert. When we ordered this, we were truly not prepared for what was going to come to the table. They brought this entire cooler to the table, and it included 4 scoops of ice cream, cones, bowls, toppings, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and caramel. YUM. Perfect for you to share with someone else or have all to yourself!
The way you hear them coming is diabolical.... they don't bother you at all but watch your step! We almost stepped on them too many times!
