Our Story
Alaina and Gerard met while studying abroad in Thessaloniki, Greece. A mutual friend had mentioned they would meet, but it wasn’t until Gerard introduced himself on the first day that they clicked. They shared the same sense of humor, felt completely at ease, and just fit.
Within days, they were inseparable. They shared a sailing class and earned their licenses, which felt impressively absurd. Love showed up in small ways. Gerry went on a mission to make all of Alaina’s favorite meals, and when he got a little sick and needed hospital care, she was determined to be there. Somehow, she convinced their sailing instructor to give her a motorcycle ride across the city, and they ended up with Alaina’s own hospital bed and meals free of charge, a true masterclass in Greek hospitality.
Flights were booked before the semester ended to visit each other and meet families. After graduating, Alaina moved to Boston, and they’ve been building a life full of laughter, love, and adventures ever since.
