We met at his birthday party at the barn on 316. She had no idea who he was but somehow he convinced her that if she would give him her number, he would take her fishing at the pond beside the barn. Almost 10 years later, he still hasn't taken her fishing! She is so glad she took the bait and now she's hooked.

We previously talked about big proposals and grand gestures when talking about marriage and the couple agreed we didn't want that. She wanted thoughtful and loving, not expensive and showy. So, he cooked her the best steak dinner (because he grills a better steak than any restaurant). After dinner, the two of us and our dog Knox watching the sunset. Michael then surprised her by getting down on one knee and telling her he had to have her as his wife. He proposed! Of course she was ecstatic, enjoyed the bittersweet moment and said YES!
