2020 has been a year riddled with question marks, but we decided we wanted OUR year to have at least one exclamation point! As more time passed, we understood that our wedding was getting pushed further into the unknown future, and didn’t know when it would be safe to gather as a family. Instead of planning for that far off eventuality, we decided to take matters into our own hands and elope—and it was perfect! We have been isolated down here, many miles away from our closest friends and family, “all on our lone-some” as Alex likes to put it. So as our officiant stood so far away that only the two of us could hear our vows, it felt right.
While we of course look forward to a future where we can celebrate together safely, and we missed you all, for now we hope that these photos take you through our short and sweet ceremony, so you can feel like you were right there with us.
