From the first day I met Roderick I knew he was different. He was polite, he was kind, he was funny, and it didn't hurt that he was kinda cute too. Plus, how many NYC high school seniors do you know that have a car? Roderick has been my best friend, my therapist, my support system, my everything from the very beginning. He always has and continues to push me to excel in everything that I do. He constantly is thinking of ways for me to grow my business and my career, and has my back when I hit any bumps in the road. God could not have sent me a better life partner. The day he proposed was one of the best days of my life, and I cannot wait to start this new chapter of our life together.

She was Roderick's friend first, but once she met Sayan they formed an unbreakable bond. Andrea hates hugs, we all know the bride is a hugger. Andrea is the ultimate feminist, Sayan is the ultimate girly girl. Andrea has been there through it all, the good, the great, the bad, the ugly. From all their years working together to shopping trips and brunch dates, to binging terrible reality shows (hello 90-day fiance and Paradise Island) to hanging out with the cutest flower girl ever, Sayan knew that Andrea had to be her matron of honor.

Ever since their long nights at Express and fun filled after school days, Sara and the bride were almost inseparable. Sara is the life of the party everywhere she goes, and she has an easy way of making the bride come out of her shell. Sara is an amazingly kind and friendly woman, who ensures that she gives her friends and loved ones as much attention as she gives to her job, as the director of a non-profit shelter. Sara is always down for fun and that’s the reason the bride chose her to be her maid-of-honor.

The bride always said she wanted a sister. And she got one when she met Janay. Janay's easygoing yet fun personality means there's always lots of laughs and even more fun whenever they hang out. Sayan (and Roderick) couldn't be more proud of Janay, completing grad school, finding a career in her field, and starting her own life in Albany. Although they wish they could see her more often the FaceTime calls and constant photos ensure that they're always up to date on each other's lives.

The friendship shared between Sarah and Sayan goes alllll the way back to bacon, egg, and cheeses during their high school days at A. Philip Randolph. Sarah is Sayan's role model, balancing graduate school, work, and the Sayan's amazing godson, Gabriel. Sarah is always smiling, super positive, and an amazing artist. She even created the one of a kind artwork that hangs on the couple’s living room wall. She’s a true gem, inside and out.

Alesha was meant to be an early childhood educator. Ever since her very first summer camp kindergarten class with Sayan it was obvious that it was her calling. Alesha loves spending time reading and hanging out on the beach or poolside with her family and friends. Sayan and Roderick can reminisce for hours about all the fun summer days and events they shared with Alesha. She is simply one of a kind!

If you ask Crystal, the bride didn't like her when they first met. But after meeting only a few times, Crystal and Sayan formed a close bond. Crystal is a friend like no other. Always there for the bride through thick and thin. She's also responsible for the bride enjoying her very first trip to Disney World. Crystal is a beautiful, loving, funny, and artistic woman, who also manages to raise two of the cutest toddlers ever, and still make time for her friends. Although she no longer lives 20 minutes away, she'll forever be a part of the bride's life.

Sayan will be there to support and encourage Naima for as long as Godly possible.

Born on February 20th, 2020, this cute but sassy Cavapoo pup completes the bride and groom's life. Ever since bringing her home she has changed their lives for the better. Summer loves walks in the park, just like her humans. She loves playing fetch and racing through the grass (eating it too)!

She's the groom's goddaughter, but she loves the bride just as much. Very much like the bride, her favorite color is pink and she loves unicorns and nail polish! She loves animals and always has energy to spare. Selena is the greatest songwriter there is, constantly creating her own masterpieces. Selena loves hanging out with the bride and groom, and they love hanging out with her even more.

Gabriel is the coolest, kindest, sweetest kid you'll ever meet. He's the godson of the bride, but he's so much more than that. Gabe loves reading, especially his Dogman collection of books, and loves playing video games, when he's allowed to that is. Gabriel is the best pupsitter in NYC too!

They say there is no love like the love shared between a mother and a daughter, and I couldn't agree more. My mother is a woman like no other. Not only did she give me life, but she has nurtured me, taught me, dressed me, shouted at me, kissed me, but most of all, she loved me unconditionally. I can write books upon books of what mo mother means to me, but simply put, I am not me without her.
