Jason and I have actually known about each other for many years. We attended the same Middle School and High School but actually never talked in person. Even though we had classes together, our path's just never crossed in that way. A few years after high school, we became friends on social media where a little bit of harmless flirting took place until around the end of October. This part is actually pretty funny because I messaged Jason my phone number and told him to shoot me a text if he was interested but I accidentally typed my number incorrectly. I sat there for a about 30 min wondering why he wasn't texting me and come to find out it was because the number was wrong. Once that was corrected, we hit it off instantly and talked EVERY DAY since then.
I was completely surprised. It was a Friday afternoon and I was on my way home from work with no idea what was about to happen. I pull up in our drive way, open the front door and was instantly met with hundreds of red rose pedals lined in a pathway on the floor with candles lit to guide the way to our bedroom. Jason was standing by our bed with the most nervous look on his face. He grabbed my hand, bent down on one knee and told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and that he loved me. He slid the ring on my finger, got up and kissed me instantly. It was very beautiful and so unlike anything I thought he would do.
