FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 21, 2025 through our website by searching first for your name and then the name of members of your party as it appears on your invitation. Please reach out to Michael or Lauren if you have any issues with this!

Question

When should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend you plan to arrive at St Louis Cathedral by 3:45pm. The ceremony will begin at 4:00pm, sharp.

Question

Are there bathrooms at the Cathedral?

Answer

There are no public restrooms available at the Cathedral. The closest public restroom to St. Louis Cathedral in the French Quarter of New Orleans is located at the French Quarter Visitor Center at 419 Decatur Street, approximately a 3-minute walk (0.2 miles) from the cathedral. The visitor center offers clean, accessible restrooms.

Question

What are the best transportation options to the church and reception venue?

Answer

The French Quarter is considered a very walkable area of New Orleans - we would recommend walking or using rideshare services like Uber or Lyft, as parking can be scarce in this area. We will be processing on foot from the Cathedral to the reception venue via a Second Line, which is roughly a 9 minute walk. We will be arranging pedicabs for guests who require them.

Question

What is a Second Line?

Answer

Second Lines are a popular tradition during New Orleans weddings! Second lines bring the wedding party and guests from the ceremony to the reception, accompanied by a brass band and a Grand Marshal. For our wedding, Michael and and I will be leading our guests on foot from the Cathedral to the reception through the streets of the French Quarter, making for our very own parade. We will be arranging pedicabs as transport for our guests who require them.

Question

Are there hotel blocks available?

Answer

Yes! We have included some options on the travel tab as well as some non-block options near the wedding venues. We are happy to provide other recommendations as well.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress code is black tie preferred.

Question

What color is the bridal party wearing?

Answer

The bridal party will be wearing black, floor length dresses.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Due to the nature of the event, we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding.

Question

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

Yes! Please visit our Registry tab to learn more.
