We met our freshman year of high school in 2012. We were friends and had a few classes together but didn't start becoming close until a few years later. Junior year, we became best friends. Senior year, Jack asked me to homecoming, and the rest is history!
It was June 21, 2020. It happened to be both my birthday and Jack's first Fathers Day since our son was born. We all woke up early that morning, and Jack said he would get the baby ready for the day and told me to get myself ready. As I was getting ready, Jack yelled to me to go into the baby's room. Obviously worried, I run to the room panicking thinking something is wrong... just to see Jack on one knee, holding our son and asking me to marry him. I needed time to think about it... (kidding).
Our favorite memory so far has to be the birth of our son, Jaxon. It was crazy and fast, but we could not have asked for a better experience! The day after he was born, the hospital nurse came and gave us a special steak lunch with sparkling cider, and it was our first real meal as a family. None of our parents or siblings could meet our new little man at the hospital due to the pandemic, but having it be just the three of us for the first time was absolutely perfect.
