If you need a little outdoor adventure, the Greenways are perfect for a walk, jog, or bike ride. You'll get to se all the beauty of Roanoke, as they expand all over the city. Pack a picnic to enjoy along the river!

Mill Mountain Star
The Star on Mill Mountain is a Roanoke staple and a must visit if you're coming from out of town! You'll get the best views of the whole valley and is a great photo spot. Also, another great place for a picnic and you could visit Mill Mountain Zoo while you're at it.
McAfee Knob Trailhead
If you like a little dose adventure and will have an extra day on your hands, McAfee's Knob Hike is for you! This is a renowned hike around the region with people traveling from all over to check it off their hiking bucket list. There's also SO many great hikes around Roanoke for all abilities if this one is biting off more than you'd like to chew for the weekend.
Carvins Cove Reservoir
Great place for some kayaking to cool off in the June heat or take a hike on a trail! Another one of Logan and Kaitlin's favorite dates :)
