Anything I can do to help?

HAVE THE BEST TIME EVER. Chris and I know this is an expense for you all to be with us on our special day. We both cannot express enough how incredibly touched, honored and overjoyed we are that you are taking the time to be there. Our only request is that you have the best time ever and dance your ass off at our wedding. All we want is for everyone to have a blast and leave with just as many amazing memories as we are going to build. Laughter and dancing is all we can ask for. And if there is ANYTHING that we can do to help make this the best time for you all PLEASE reach out. Can I book my own flight?

Answer

Although it is preferred that you use our travel agent - yes, you can book your own flights to use your points.

Do I need to stay at the resort?

Answer

Although not required, there is a $100 fee per person to come to the resort for the wedding if you are staying elsewhere - such as an AirBNB.

When should I get there?

Answer

We recommend everyone arriving Wednesday morning and staying through Friday morning - at a minimum. Please come early or stay later! Use this as a vacation! We have tons of family doing that and would love to have a blast with everyone down there in paradise. If you can - we suggest travelling on non weekends. This is peak travel season (although not spring break so that's great) - and travelling on the weekends through customs is not ideal. Doable! But not ideal!

Does the cost for my room cover all my food?

Answer

YES! This is an all inclusive resort. There is 24/7 room service, 8 restaurants, coffee shops, cigar bars, a theater, EVERYTHING! If you want to eat lobster and filet every meal - go for it! Room rates are higher than hotel rates but all your food and beverage is included (cocktails, water, sodas, everything all day every day!)! **insert Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville song**

What do I wear?

Answer

The rehearsal is going to be more casual - since it is on the beach. But! We are asking that EVERYONE wear WHITE! The actual wedding is more formal. Obvisouly, we are at the beach so we don't want anyone to feel the needs to wear a full suit. We won't ever be on the beach for the actual wedding but we do want everyone to be more formal. Linen suit no tie is what the wedding party will be wearing and we all can shed layers when we get down and boogie! But! We are encouraging NO Hawaiian shirts to the wedding and to make it schnazy!

How do I book my travel?

A block of rooms has been reserved at a special rate for our guests. Modern Vacations & Destination Weddings is the travel agency managing the exclusive rights to booking our guests’ vacations. The deposit to secure your room is $100 per person. When do I need to arrive?

We would like everyone to join us for our rehearsal dinner/welcome event on the beach the evening of Wednesday, April 10th. This will be an all white party so we do ask that everyone please wear white to this! We would like everyone to stay as long as they want! We know some friends and family are staying for a few days and some a week! Please enjoy! Hopefully you can use this as a vacation as well. We know it is a large expense for people to come to Mexico for us and that is the greatest gift we can ask.

White party......what does that mean?

So! For our welcome event/rehearsal we are throwing a WHITE PARTY! It will be on the beach and we are asking that everyone wear as much white as possible. Guys - you are totally fine wearing khakis and a white polo or shirt. We just want everyone to wear as much white as possible for some awesome pictures and some awesome memories!!!

What is there to do?

Answer

The resort has an awesome help desk for scheduling excursions like snorkeling, diving, deep sea fishing, cave diving, etc. There is a TON to do there. Flavio is our contact for fishing, we met him when we visited and he is AWESOME. Everyone will get to meet at the rehearsal/welcome event Wednesday night so feel free to hang out and make plans for fun adventures! We just want everyone to have as much fun as possible. Or hang in the cabanas at the pool or beach! Relaxing or adventuring - there is something to do for everyone! There is also a spa in the resort which is spectacular. I got a hot stone massage there that was out of this world! Ladies, you can schedule manicures, pedicures and hair and make up if you would like!
