James & Anastasia met in 2014 when James joined the honors society (Phi Sigma Pi) that Anastasia was already a part of at the University of North Texas. Their first date was at Greenhouse Restaurant in Denton, TX, and the rest is history! They are so excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife!

In January of 2020 they begun planning to travel to Seattle, WA and Portland, OR with Anastasia’s best friend, Corie, over Spring Break. Little did she know, James was planning to propose on this trip! Due to COVID, they had to skip over their time in Seattle, and spend their entire trip in Portland. The same day that they flew into Seattle and drove to Portland, James wanted to hike to see Mt. Hood from Trillium Lake. Through the hills and the snow, they finally made it to the scenic Trillium Lake that was frozen over and completely breathtaking. Corie was taking a picture of Anastasia and James in front of Mt. Hood, and, MUCH to Anastasia’s surprise, James got down on one knee and she answered the easiest question she’s ever been asked!
