In the early 2010s, Andy and Caroline met at Adventures Unlimited, a whitewater rafting company in Ocoee where summers were wild and filled with river magic. Andy wore many hats as one of the photographers, office staff, and beer-tenders while Caroline kept the office running, interacting with nearly every guest and raft guide who came through the outpost. They saw each other every day—working side by side in the office, crossing paths between trips, or hanging out at the guide shacks. Just friends then, part of the same summer crew, they went their separate ways when seasons ended. Years later, after finishing grad school, Caroline moved to Chattanooga. A mutual friend passed along the news, and Andy casually admitted, “I always had a crush on her.” As it turned out, feelings were mutual. The two reconnected—this time with a spark. Now, along with their cat Piper, they’ve built a life together and are overjoyed to be married by the river where their story began more than a decade ago.
